How to Reprice a Sales Order Line before booking of Sales Order

This tutorial will explain you how to reprice sales order line

The typical business scenario where there is fluctuation in demand. The Unit selling prices maintained in the price list for items may also vary or where the business scenario has higher lead time between sales order entry and Shipping execution and the unit selling price changes.

This blog will cater to the above functional requirement

Switch to Order Management Super User Responsibility

Navigate to Oracle Order Management-->Order Returns-->Sales Orders

Open the Sales Order form

Enter header level details like Customer name, Customer PO, Order Type, Price List etc,
Move to the Others Tab

Enter details of payment terms, etc in others tab

Move to line Items Tab

Here you can see price 347.50 is defaulted from the maintained price list

Order Line status is in Entered Status

Now due to fluctuations in demand and delay in order processing the prices has increased. So we will modify the maintained price for the item

Requery the price list

Navigate to Oracle Order Management-->Pricing-->Price List-->Price List Setup

Requery the Price list defined earlier

Here we have maintained the unit selling price of item as 374.5. Please visit my other blog How to Define Unit Sales Price for an Item

As the price has increased we will increase the unit selling price of the item

You can see here we have changed Unit selling price as 500

Now requery the Sales Order created earlier

Navigate to Oracle Order Management-->Order Returns-->Sales Orders

Open the Sales Order form

Move to Line Items Tab

Here you can see price 347.50 is defaulted from the maintained price list

In order to bring the effect on updated price change click on the Actions button

Select the option of Price Line from the LOV

Here you can see the sales order line is repriced to 500 as maintained in the price list
